They've always been SH for me, even clear back to vanilla (like when the game released, long before mods). And I've never used mods that would change hostiles or encounters.

I'll have to get in game this weekend and start a new girl, then post some screenshots.

It's weird.

I'll have to pay attention if I manage to get over there. Not doing a lot of exploring just yet. Stones and TG jobs.

Need to get some screenshots up.

I am not sure I am happy with her face yet and I will probably put different armors on her, but.. Not sure where we are going yet.. she is just living a day at a time, making money here and there. I may do a Merc play through, that way she can wander at will.

Samsies Sere, ty Are! On very cold, clear nights in the dead of winter we see the Aurora Borealis from here. I remember once from the way back when times (early 70s) that mum had to make me come inside because I just kept watching the waves of color (it was -45F / -42.8C outside) because I was mesmerized completely!

I have always wanted to see the aurora. We were far north enough in Canada a couple of times (and at Glacier, same trips) but no auroras darn it!

I saw them once... When I was in Great Lakes Ill... Right before we left for our regular posting.. we had all taken the train north to go to some small town right on the lake for some Winter Festival and we could just see a ribbon out over the lake.

When the Navy flew me to ADAC, it was summer, mid-summer.. it didn't get dark enough, I guess or their was none.

They supposedly happen here too, but I've never seen them. Mikael has.

Prime time for them is like 1 am, and I'm not awake then.

That screenshot though is gorgeous.

We get the aurora occasionally, during high solar activity. Can't usually see it from our house, though, as we're in the woods, and on the south side of the hill. We'd have to walk over to the north side, and as Bram notes, it's usually in the dead of winter (as well as being the middle of the night.) Once in a while we can see some color in a little patch of sky between trees.
Today is the last day before Tomorrow happens. Procrastinators take note.
