After running around Nuka Cola plant and Red Racer factory we teleported to Canterbury Commons and after a quick night it's once again morning and we are ready to move out to do our thing :1:

Indeedilydoodeli!

It's located in the southern part of the map and is quite the fun place. I recommend a tour of it :1:

Some day I expect I'll get back there. Definitely need a mod to remove weapon degradation, though.

Oh, I have sooo many weapon mods for Fallout 3. I don't even notice them tbh because now the guns work how they are supposed to work in a game! Everything from aiming to degradation is now what I consider normal. Man, Beth really did a poor job there :18:

Tell me about it. That was such a piss poor way to manage weapons.

Played some again today after a few weeks not.

Ran around mid-map with Gunny who got killed twice. Thankfully I can repair him

In the middle of nowhere, I suddenly decided to teleport back to Megaton. Didn't plan to, but I realized what time of year it was.

Yes. It is time. Time to prepare for the annual trip to Point Lookout!

After spending two days at Rivet City, I am now onboard the vessel that will take me to Point Lookout. Ticket is purchased and tomorrow it will rain lead in the murky swampland

I'm in Point Lookout now and blimey, krikey O'Reily, I've actually found no less than three things I haven't discovered before! :oh_no:

Thing #1 - A hidden box of shotgun shells behind some clipboards in the bank close to the pier. It was left alone.

Thing #2 - A lever-action rifle and a box of ammo on the road close to the wrecked truck. The rifle was left alone but ammo was taken.

Thing #3 - Two stimpaks and two boxes of ammo by the wall to the Ark and Dove Cathedral. Stimpaks was left alone but the ammo was taken.

I'm not sure if I actually missed these items before or if I have found them but didn't bother. But it does feel that I've overlooked them. Can't fathom how though :bonk:

Today I went on the special safari in the north-east area of Lookout. The other two were still there even though the wiki said they should disappear when you leave the safari, something I did last year. Oh, well.

I felt quite unprepared this time despite knowing I would participate again. No mines, and the guns I brought along either did too little damage or took too long to reload. If Bethesda had done the weapons right and not capped it at 250 rounds, the minigun would have been much more useful.

After the safari I just ran around the swamp, killing whatever I encountered. It was especially fun dropping missiles on the swampfo'hk around the entrance to the basement ritual site. I also visited the detention camp and a few other key places around the map. Then I decided to call it quits and after just one day in the swamp I am now back in the Capital Wasteland and my Megaton home, with Gunny guarding the entrance together with Deputy Weld as usual.

Thus conclude the 2018 Fallout 3 season. Well met in 2019!

Just came back to the Capital Wasteland!

Woke up in my Megaton house and immediately ran out to collect Gunny, and off we went. First stop, Bethesda Ruins. All went well and much stuff was collected. Then we continued north-ish and one thing of note is that a friendly tripod robot (forget the name) wasn't where it used to be. No sign of it destroyed either. Oh, well.

Today I ran around with Gunny in the north-eastern part of the Capital Wasteland. Passed Old Olney after the dairy farm and collected some Deathclaw claws and soon afterwards we both had full inventories so we jumped off to Tenpenny to sell it.

Usual running around today. Started mid-map and then southwards past the Corvega factory where we came across an Outcast (Hey-Ya!) patrol which we followed a bit until they did a 180. Gunny and I are now by the subway station near the recruitment center close to D.C.

I'm yet again on a mission to try and find Firelance. The encounter happened years ago but at the time I didn't bother. Some time later I tried finding it using Dogmeat and I tried again today. Didn't get Firelance but I finally picked up the regular Alien Blaster anyway, plus the energy cells.

I know in what general area it happened, I just need to return there with Dogmeat again and be more methodical.
