I need a license of some sort to buy boric acid here. Painters, construction, contractors. Chemicals certification.

No, don't ask me why. Yes, it's fucking stupid.

Lookin' good, Saki-Sis!
Loving fantasy since 1960 or so, FRPGs since 1975 (appx), and CRPGs since 1985....

^^

I don't think it's too bad for a first run. I haven't been doing this for years so I really need to stop comparing myself to my mother in law. Her yarn work is perfect. ><

I know how that can be - my first MIL was a WIZARD with knitting needles, not only perfect at it but so fast. I was never EVER going to be that good.... and my daughter was always much better (in a "little miss perfection" sort of way) at cross stitch. They were goal-oriented, as opposed to my being process-oriented. For me, it always was about the journey, not the destination.... (to quote Are-Sis....)

Finished my second attempt at a hat for my sister in law.

Looks better, but still not perfect. Need to make another bag and two sets of coasters now. Need to make a third hat, for dad.

Oh dear. So much and so little time. I was gonna make one for Mikael too. Have yarn even. But no time.

Made Dad slippers. Working on the other bag now. Coasters are done.

Gonna make snowflakes to attach to the packages too.

I need to buy white glue for stiffening up the snowflakes too.

I'll get pics tomorrow perhaps. Or Friday. Gonna be gone most of tomorrow's daylight hpurs(sunset at 2:30).

Moving right along, sounds like! Be sure you have wax or parchment paper to let the snowflakes lie on to dry so they don't get stuck to something!

We have parchment so that's not a worry.

Elmer's glue mixed with water or a starch spray work wonders at stiffening up snowflakes... but the problem is, we have no starch spray(not sure they even sell that around here) or white glue. I'm going to check the store today after my tests.
